I'm excited to share that I'm returning to school to pursue my Bachelor of Science in Psychology. As a minister, I've always been interested in understanding people's thoughts, behaviors, and emotions. Psychology offers me the opportunity to dive deeper into this area and help me to better understand the people in my community.

I must admit, going back to school can be daunting, especially after being out of academia for some time. But, watching the TV show Community has inspired me to embrace this challenge with open arms. The show is all about a group of misfits who come together to form a study group at a community college. Despite their different backgrounds and personalities, they learn to work together and support each other through their academic struggles.

One lesson from Community that resonates with me is the idea of embracing your quirks and imperfections. The show's protagonist, Jeff Winger, is forced to confront his own flaws and vulnerabilities when he returns to school after being disbarred as a lawyer. Watching him learn to accept himself, flaws and all, has given me the courage to do the same.

In the same way, I'm looking forward to connecting with my fellow students and building relationships that will help us all grow and succeed. I believe that this journey will not only enhance my understanding of people's minds but also my spiritual growth as a minister. Once I complete my degree, I'll be better equipped to support my community and help them navigate their struggles. I'm excited to see how this journey unfolds and I hope that I can inspire others to pursue their passions and embrace new challenges, no matter how daunting they may seem.
